The Roland Public Library provides wireless access for public internet use. Connecting to the Roland Public Library wireless network affirms consent to Roland Public Library policies. All library policies concerning legal and acceptable use of computers and the internet, as well as library conduct policies, apply to patrons using the library’s wireless service.
Library patrons are cautioned that the library is a public area, which must be shared by library users of all ages, backgrounds, and sensibilities. Individuals are asked to consider this and to respect others when accessing information and images.
Patrons may save documents to personal flashdrives and print them using the library's printer. Printing fees will apply.
Library patrons may not use the library’s wireless network for illegal activity or public obscenity. Library patrons are expected to respect intellectual property rights by making only authorized copies of copyrighted or licensed software or data residing on the internet.
DISCLAIMER: The Library is not liable for the consequences of wireless network use in any way, including the transmission of computer viruses, loss of data or e-mail, security breeches of personal/private information, or any harm resulting from the use of an unsecured server.
WARNING: Upon probable cause to suspect a wireless policy violation, wireless devices and associated data storage media may be seized for legal procedures.
